Do insignias stack?
What insignias stack and which don't?
As in 5 blessed insignias, would that mean that i get +50 armour while enchanted? If they don't what about thye prof specific insignias like an eles +10 armour V Elemental dmg and +10 V fire, pre insignia update did that mean a full set flameforged only counted for 1 insignia? |

yes and no
unless the insignia explicitly says "does not stack" then it stacks.. and it doesn't at the same time. Radiant and Survivor increase your health/energy and stack, however blessed only adds +10 w/ enchanted to the specified armor. Hence, using 5 blesseds, just means you have +70 AL (on a squishy) on all armor pieces. However, some get targetted more often than others (chest-pants), hence its often wise to simply use a blessed on your chest, while less attacked areas, feet, head, can be used for survivor or radiant. |

Insignias that grant an armor bonus only do so for that specific peice of armor.
Insignias that grant HP or Energy stack. Insignias that grant damage reduction only effect that piece of armor, however runes(absorbtion) effect the entire char and do not stack. |

When you are hit in GW, each hit can hit either your head, chest, feet, or hands. That +10 armor will only be applied to that piece.

It's strange how the mechanics work, but I'll try to explain it with this:
A warrior that has met the 13 strength requirement for a Dreadnought's Insignia (+20 armor vs. elemental damage [req. 13 strength]). He places the Dreadnought's on his chest piece which has a base of 80 armor and +20 vs. physical. He places another Dreadnought's on his hand, but he doesn't put any more on any of the other pieces. Each piece of armor has a % chance of getting hit, so the armor is calculated by what piece your attacker hit, not all the armor added together. The head has a 12.5% chance to get hit. The chest has a 37.5% chance to get hit. The hands have a 12.5% chance. Legs have 25%. Boots have 12.5%. Now the warrior is attacked by an elementalist. There is a 37.5% chance it will hit the chest and a 12.5% chance to hit the gloves, adding for a 50% chance to hit a piece of armor that has 100 armor against elemental damage. There is also a 50% chance it will hit a piece that doesn't have 100 armor vs. elemental. Let's say the attack hits the hands. The 100 armor kicks in and the mechanics halve the damage. It is halved because for every 40 armor that you have above 60, damage you take is halved. (Unles specifies as damage that ignores armor) The same is true in vice-versa for every 40 you have under 60. 20 armor is double the normal damage, 100 is half normal. Now the elementalist hits the boots. The warrior takes a little more damage than he did previously because he did not place a Dreadnought's Insignia on his boots for extra armor. The few cases where armor will stack over from one piece are shields, which will add their whole armor to your base armor (Assuming you've met the requirement for it) and some weapons that have an armor bonus. So, yes, you can use more than one for a better affect. But each one you use will only affect that one piece you put it on, not your whole armor level. Hope that clears it up for you. |

1 more question though In theory if i was a sin i could but somthing like this on and it would be at maximum effectiveness: +15 Armour While attacking on boots Blessed insignia on hands +10 armor V blunt dmg on chest +10 Armor V piercing radiant on head thats how it would work well yeah? |

You would have +15 armor while attacking on boots, what means IF THE ATTACK HITS THE BOOTS. If you have that insignia on the boots and the attack hits the chest with the Vs blunt dmg insignia, the insignia on the boots will do absolutely nothing. Like, imagine a real armor. Imagine that you are wearing cloth, then you put a leather reinforcement on your chest. If someone who's attacking you hits your head, the leather will not reduce it's power. That's how GW armor works. |

Another way to look at it is with Rangers/eles.
Elemental damage is often targeted at one particular body part, example earth magic hits feet air magic hits head. So you should put earth insignia(armor vs earth dmg) on boots and air insignia(armor vs air dmg) on helmets. |

I'm going to go ahead and say that Radiant and Survivor insignias are the only ones that stack. To my knowledge, all other global insignias are non-stacking. But there aren't that many global insignias to begin with.
For example, your Blessed insignia isn't global, so it can't stack unless you can put more than one on the same piece of armor, which you can't do unless you are seriously hacking. |
